Using the latest design techniques and engineering available Sportfritz have developed a patented chip- the Fitz™, which when worn behind the ear in placed in a players headgear is able to monitor, measure and report movement of the head and brain.
Impacts are monitored in real-time and pushed to a smart device for immediate intervention and assessment, thereby ensuring that no trauma will ever go unnoticed again in the future.
The application stores the data, records the impact, the date, time and severity of the event and will create a report highlighting where the trauma took place, the force of the trauma and the likelihood of damage.
The Fitz™ is a 6+ DOF, with RF Connectivity (local and wide area), GPS, a waterproof Li-Ion battery, embedded with concussion protocols, encrypted wireless data transmission, programmable thresholds and can be used by an individual or as part of a team management application. In addition it measure heart rate, pulse-ox and respiration rate of the user.
“I have been wearing the Fitz™ for the past month, I never take mine off. I have showered, washed my hair, swam and played sport and never once felt like it would fall of. None of friends have even noticed I am wearing it, it is that unnoticeable and oddly far more comfortable than I thought it would be. I can even wear my glasses with it.”
